This strategic IT Cluster Migration project at Kosovo Telecom involved planning and executing the migration of core IT and BSS platforms to a new Hyper-V–based infrastructure. The project covered budget planning, phased migration, transition to new servers and SAN storage, and risk management. As a result, system stability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency were significantly improved while minimizing service disruption.

The project was complex due to the migration of mission-critical IT and BSS systems in a live telecom environment. Key risks included service downtime, data integrity, compatibility with legacy systems, and security exposure during migration. These risks were mitigated through phased execution, detailed planning, rollback scenarios, and close coordination between infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
